Abstract

|
The incidence and the nature of visual involvement in Friedreich's ataxia are not well known. We experienced a case of Fricdreich's ataxia who showed progressive visual impairment a few years before developing characteristic clinical
manifestations
of
Friedreich's ataxia. The progress of disease in this case suggests that visual involvement may be from the same pathogenetic mechanism of peripheral nervous system in Friedreich's ataxia.
